Watch exhausted Eddie Howe react to Wolves draw, tough week, injury fears and £60m snub

Eddie Howe believes our 2-2 draw at Wolves was a “fair result”, but admits it was a real frustration to surrender our lead at the end of a tough week for the club.

Howe – who looked shattered in his post-match press conference – hailed our commitment to the cause and refused to make too many complaints about our busy schedule.

However, he did highlight what a difficult period it’s been with Sandro Tonali’s 10-month ban and new injuries for Alexander Isak, Jacob Murphy and Elliot Anderson all following our disappointing defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

He defended his decision not to bring on the likes of Tino Livramento or Lewis Hall at Wolves, feeling it would’ve been a very difficult game for either to be thrown into. He insists “a lot of players” will get game time over the coming weeks, with us facing two more games in the next seven days.

Watch his press conference in full below, which also featured an injury update on Isak and Murphy, his response to Nick Pope’s display and a few thoughts ahead of next week’s trip to Old Trafford:

  1. Pope was awful forgot how to catch a ball, and Burn was very poor turned far too easily.
    Trippier again was wayward.
    Schar man of the match.
